1. What is the rake?
-
The rake is the money that a poker room takes from the pot of each hand that is played. This is how the poker
room makes money. The amount that is taken from each pot is usually about 5% up to $3. This may not sound
like a lot, but it adds up to much more than you think over time.

2. What is rakeback?
-
Rakeback is a percentage of a player's total contribution to the rake that is given back. Depending on
what Rake of Spades program the player signs up for, this percentage can be up to 35%.

3. How can Rake of Spades offer rakeback?
-
We at Rake of Spades are able to offer rakeback because the poker rooms give us a commission for each
player that we refer to them. We pass a majority of this commision back to our players and only keep
a small percentage. This commision varies from room to room and is the primary factor in the
amount of the rebate that we can offer players that sign up for each program.

4. How will I get paid?
-
Each player is given a choice of payment methods including directly into your player account or via
NETeller. Each poker room and/or payment method
may have restrictions on money transfers. Therefore, we may not be able to give rebates for
certain pay periods if a player has not net the restrictions. If this is the case, the rebate that was
earned will be held over until the next pay period. Specific details are given in each program description.

5. How much will I get paid?
-
Well, that depends on how much you play. The more you play, the more you will get paid. See the chart below or
our rakeback calculator to estimate your contribution to the rake and
how much you will get back based on limit and number of hands played.

Full tables play about 60-80 hands per hour, short handed tables play 80-120 hands per hour. So, if you play
10 hours per week at two full $3/6 tables at Ultimate Bet (1200-1600 hands), you will contribute $770-930 to the rake
per month. With a rebate of 25%, this would earn you $170-230 per month! As you can see, the more you play and
the higher the limits you play, the more you will earn. Serious players may play much more than this and will in turn
earn much more than this.

6. How do bonuses affect rakeback?
-
Bonuses, along with fees charged to affiliates by the poker rooms, are deducted from every player's total rake contribution, but players still get more back with bonuses than without.
-
For example, say you contribute $500 and redeem $100 in bonus dollars this month at Titan Poker where you get 30% rakeback. Your rakeback
payment will be calculated as ($500 - $100) * 30% = $120. In total, you would receive $220 back in rakeback and bonuses.
-
Had you not redeemed the bonus dollars, your rakeback payment would be calculated as $500 * 30% = $150. It would be a little higher without
the bonus, but of course, you wouldn't have the $100 in bonus dollars.
-
These bonuses and fees are worked into our commissions and it is not our policy deduct them from your total rake contribution, but the
individual poker room's.
Therefore, we make less money, as well as you get paid less in rakeback when poker rooms offer bonuses (and charge fees). However, you have the
advantage of keeping the bonus dollars, so it works out to your benefit in the end to redeem bonuses.

8. Why should I sign up with Rake of Spades?
-
In every session of play, you lose money to the rake. With a rakeback program, you are able to get some
of that lost money back. This is an edge that you don't normally have. Simply put, this is a big
advantage. We also offer promotions and a referral program that others don't. From these additional offers,
you can add even more to your advantage.
-
Additionally, Rake of Spades promisses to always deliver the rebates that we have offered for each program in a timely
manner. We also promise to give great customer support to all of our players. Possibly most important, we will never deceive our players. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.
